The Importance of Technology for Home Healthcare Agencies
Technology has a significant role in improving the effectiveness of agency operations. By trusting in a leading home care software such as CareVoyant Home Care Software, agencies can effectively manage their employees and their time delivering care. With the rise of hospital-at-home and SNF-at-home care delivery models and the increasing relevance of telehealth, the choice of a scalable and configurable homecare software that can address the needs of nurses, operations managers, patients, and their families, becomes crucial.
It has never been more challenging to be a home health operator. At the same time, there has never been more upside. The pandemic helped accelerate the growth of home-based care, and we think that trend will only continue into 2022 and beyond.
2020 and 2021 have been challenging years for home care agencies across the United States. The devastating impact of 2020’s COVID-19 lockdown meant that home care agencies faced a problem they had not experienced ever before. On one side, more patients prefer receiving care at home, on the other side, there are staffing challenges of finding the caregivers to help them cope up with the demand.

Supreme Court Seems Skeptical on OSHA Rule, More Receptive to CMS Mandate
The U.S. Supreme Court on Friday listened to arguments regarding the issue that has been top of mind for most home-based care providers for the past several months: vaccine mandates. No decision has been made on whether the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) rule, nor the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services’ (CMS) mandate, can legally remain in place either temporarily or indefinitely.
